The worshop on "Gravitational Radiation & Black Hole Formation in particle collisions" will be held at the ITCP-Department of Physics in the period 21-24 June, 2015.
Distinguished researchers will discuss in a variety of approaches open issues related to gravitational radiation in ultrarelativistic particle collisions black-hole formation as well as recent developments in numerical relativity.

The worshop on "Alternative Gravity and Alternative Matter" will be held at the ITCP-Department of Physics in the period 20-23 May, 2015.
Distinguished participants from top universities and research centers will discuss, analyze and compare the main features and predictions of alternative theories of gravity about the nature of the mysterious "dark energy" and "dark matter".

Lecture of Theodore Tomaras with title: “The First Three a” in the 3rd Lykeion of Heraklion.

Professor Tomaras was invited to deliver this lecture about the infinitesimally small (the elementary particles) and the infinitely large (the Universe) on the occasion of the “7th Physics Contest” for High School and Lycee students.
The event was organized by the Cretan Physical Society and the ceremony took place on June 13, 2014.
The presentation was followed by a long discussion session, during which the enthousiastic students, parents, teachers and other interested participants asked many questions and made interesting comments.
